Day 188.

Hello Sunday.
The beauty of 1 o’clock church is the fact that sleeping in is an option.
Church was great today.
The talks in sacrament meeting were fantastic.
I may or may not have been distracted in Sunday School.
I find joy in the fact that there are 10 or so minutes in between Sunday School and Relief Society….
It gave me enough time to run home and grab some cookies.
Since it was combined Relief Society and Priesthood today I sat next to my dad and together we ate cookies.
He says it’s more discrete to shove it all in your mouth….
I prefer little bites.
We learned about LDS Family Services.
Good stuff.
I walked home with Miss Elizabeth today.
She planned out our next Quinci slash Lizzie date.
She’s got big plans.
Let me remind you of our last date:
JCW’s. Coldstone. Toy Story 3.
What can she pick to top that?
Lets just keep in mind that this little human wanted to share a puppy….
Between Utah and Idaho.
She wanted to call it ‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Puppy.’
I can’t wait to hear what she thinks of next.
After dinner I got to talk to the boyfriend for a [long] while on skype.
We chatted.
And chatted.
And chatted.
And chatted.
Shannon serenaded us with her ukulele and showed her Hogwarts acceptance letter.
I talked to his family.
He talked to mine.
He beat me in checkers 3 times.
No bueno.
Don’t fret.
I most defiantly beat him in hangman with the help of my 2 little team mates.
It was a good night.
Hopefully he’ll get to come down this weekend…
Long boarding down Provo Canyon?
Party.
On the other end of things….
Nuskin starting tomorrow.
Pray for my sanity.

Day 187.

This is an ode to the boy wearing argyle socks and argyle patterned shorts.....
It was 9 in the morning and I was sitting, watching Kade’s lacrosse game and this small child’s outfit brought a ray of sun to the early morning.
I cant decide whether I liked the pattern or the color more….
Or the fact that he chose to wear it to this specific game.
He must’ve known that I was coming.
Let’s be completely honest….
I can’t really say anything about his outfit of choice….
Today I didn’t shower…
My hair is on the top of my head…
and wore my shirt inside out.
Classy.
After I had almost died of summer time boredom my mother took me shopping for clothes.
I [don’t] love shopping.
Does the phrase ‘family pictures’ get anyone excited?
Not me.

Day 186.

Friday.
Finally.
I’ve been waiting for this day since last Thursday night.
It seems weird that I’ve been home for a week (barely).
No worries.
Today has been [absolutely] fantastic.
…except for the part that I was dreaming about forgetting my bridesmaid dress.
Thought.
DON’T FORGET TO GET THE BRIDESMAID DRESS!!
I woke up and had to get my college stuff out of the front room…
I promised it would be done by today.
I was finished vacuuming when the boyfriend texted me.
I was soo pleased.
I was super excited to see him.
As we were texting I got another text from a very special human telling me they were in American Fork.
Could I have been dreaming?
Possibly.
My dearest Kiah [aka fall 2010 roomie] was at the temple [aka 2 seconds away] with her boyfriend, where his cousin was getting married.
I couldn’t wait to see her.
Remember that one time she lived in China and I haven’t seen her since I visited Rexie during the winter semester?
I hopped in the car and drove drove drove and couldn’t believe she was actually here.
We didn’t get to talk to long due to the fact that I was going to meet boyfriend and they were [obviously] at a wedding.
I love this human soo much.
I can’t wait to be able to see her every day in the fall.
Next stop?
Meeting up with the boyfriend and his family in Provo.
I had forgotten how long the drive actually took.
45 minutes.
I timed it.
I used my girl scout skills and missed the sisters house by 2…
To the left.
He met me and we walked to meet the rest of the family who was still eating.
I saw the beard.
It was odd.
He told me I was going to like it.
It was nice to see that sister, brother-in-law, and niece were real and not just skype people.
It wasn’t too long before we headed back to the sisters house.
Everyone was tired from the trip.
I wanted to take him home…
But time didn’t permit.
They were planning on heading out at 7.
It was 6:20 and he was eating cookie dough out of his sisters freezer.
Psh.
Obviously I had to take him to JCW’s.
No Utah experience is complete without it.
He said he didn’t think I even knew how to drive and commented that the things I did when I drove were “very Utah.”
He gave it a B-.
Weak.
It was super awesome to see him [and his family] again.
Yes….
Even with his beard.
I can’t wait to see him again.
Oh the joys of living in separate states….

After I arrived home, ate some food, played with my mothers hair and tried to get the cat to catch a mouse megdeck came over.
Usually when she comes over we sit on the cement and talk.
This time it was the cement on the side of the house by the basketball hoop.
There we read awkward missionary proposals and talked about random things.
It wasn’t long before we decided to head to the Decker household to the cave…..
Chick Flick Friday Night.
When in Rome was the movie tonight.
We even ate popsicles with pineapple in them…..
Oh Josh Duhamel.
Love.
We sat in our same spots on the couch with our blankets and our feet on the love sack.
Just like high school.
By the end of the night me and meg [possibly] had life figured out.....
And tried on all of her headbands...
And went through her Nordstrom sale items…..
And put a feather in my hair.

….Cymoni said pets aren’t meant for hair.

Day 185.

Confession.
I am in looooove with Dan in Real Life.
The first time I encountered this movie was sometime between the beginning of sophomore year and the middle of junior year.
I was sick and didn’t want to hang out with a bunch of people so a friend brought it by and we watched it and ate blue m&m’s and it was fantastic.
I don’t remember liking it.
But last night after megdeck had left I still had all night to do….
Nothing.
Solution?
Movie.
My neighbor handed me this movie and I cringed.
I remember it being slow and not super great….
But then I started it…..
I quickly fell in love with the smiley face honey on the peanut butter sandwiches and the high school loves.
Oh the joys.
I only got halfway through before I realized it was 2 am and my eyes were shutting.
That’s besides the point….

Today?
Visited the cousins.
Watched Dark Night with the brother.
Went to Institute.
Oddly enough I felt like I learned more in that hour and fifteen minutes than I did in the past 2 semesters of religion classes I’ve taken.
Bummer.
It’s fine.
Institute is me and the brother’s new favorite thing…
Despite the strange people that we found there.
….we don’t judge.
Sometimes we just like to play the first impression game.
No worries.
Next week we’ll be attending institute every night just to see which institute wins the prize.
We’re even going to a dating and courtship class…..
Just for fun….
And just because we can.
Yes.
Tomorrow is Friday and I am soo pleased.
I get to see the boyfriend tomorrow.
I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited to see a human in my life.
Let’s just hope he remembered to shave his face…

Wednesday, July 27, 2011

Day 184.

Yes.
The only reason that you can see the carpet in my bedroom was because my mom told me I could not go play with the bff until it was clean….
And because she said on my bed and helped me do it.
I’m really good at this game.
She told me ALL of my stuff had to be put away by Friday…
Including the stuff that may or may not be left in the front room still.
I love living at home ;)
Today was nice.
I got a job at Nuskin….
Yes?
Don’t get me wrong…
A job is a job….
But I thought I had paid my slave labor dues…
Apparently not.
Monday is when all the fun starts again.
Tonight I got to help the bff get ready for her bridals.
She is a stunning bride.
It is the weirdest thing to see your bff in a wedding dress.
It makes it for real.
I think she would like the world to know that she was sitting in the car waiting for everyone else….
Including the groom.
I would love to show the world her dress…
But this is al l you get.
Enjoy.
Let your imagination run wild.
After we got her off and running and I saw the ‘first look’I headed home to meet with my dear Megdeck.
I owed her some….
Treats.
If you don’t know the ice cream rule then you should go back to high school.
It’s a classic.
We stick to it.
Tonight we weren’t in the mood for ice cream so we headed to Smart Cookie to get cookies [obviously] and frozen hot chocolate.
Love.
In typical Quinci fashion….
I needed a picture.
Megdeck reminded me to have my mouth open.
That’s what friends are for, right?
We took our treats to our most favorite place.
The creek.
Its magical.
We talked about life and our upcoming semester together.
Party.
I [still] cannot wait to see what adventures this fall is going to bring.

Day 183.

Tuesday.

I’ve been looking forward to this day since me and Whit
first decided to throw this party.

A bridal shower for the Bff.

3 more weeks.

I still can’t believe
that my bff is getting married.

I’m slowly but surely reminding myself that we are that old
and its okay.

Today was spent running away from unpacking and making food
for the event.

Meat balls and Oreo truffles.

As I was creating the Oreo truffles I was taken back to the
adventures of Day 129 with Emma.

The day was good.
I just needed it to be 5:00 so I could head over to the Ashby residence.
Once I got there and got my food out me and whit had to run to get some balloons.
Lets pondering that thought for a moment.
Whitney wanted to get thee most perfect balloons.
I couldn’t not record her conversation with this man.
Man.
Keep in mind she is talking to a human male.
“Which would be closer to eggplant purple? Pearlized quartz purple or pearlized lavender?”
The man decided that pearlized quarts purple was our best bet.
“Do you have a light blush… oh wait… you don’t know what that is.”
You should’ve seen the look on this man’s face….
“How long will the high flow last?”
I was laughing so hard.
This truly made the list of top 10 adventures with Washby.
We headed back, got things all set up, and the girl humans started coming.
I was so pleased to see them.
It made me remember the good about high school.
Yes.
It’s been that long since I’ve seen some of them.
We were able to talk and catch up and all that good stuff.
Girl talk.
I even saw my favorite human, Shmelbie.
She hides pencils in her hair and is poetic like a Jane Austin book.
We played a trivia game….
Testing our own knowledge about the bff against her spouse.
Did you know that her favorite color really isn’t purple?
I think that threw the majority of us off.
We ate, opened presents and played the classic bridal shower game.
Toilet paper wedding dresses.
I don’t know how I got chosen to be the bride….
…okay.
I do.
I was super proud of the dress that my team put together.
Kalynn, Alyssa, Whitney, Seren.
Nice work.
We win the prize.
No need to fret.
Seren even caught the bouquet.
We were just able to talk and play and talk and remember things and talk and build flowers.
It really was a blast to be with the high school girls again.
It’s even more fun when we’ve been apart and have lots of stories to tell and things to talk about.
It’s crazy how much things change in only a year.
We decided that Aly needs to get married more often so we can get together and party.
Thanks for a fun night girls!
We should’ve taken bets on whose next…..

Day 182.

I was going to be productive today….

I really was.

My alarm was set for 9 am giving myself plenty of time to
sleep in….

But I have missed by bed way to much and didn’t want to
leave.

I fell back asleep until my dear baby Michelley texted me
around 10:30.

Thought.

If there is anyone in this world who is going to find a
motorcycle…

It’s her.

When I finally got out of bed I talked the BFF and dreaded
unpacking…

Guess what….

Still not done.

I’m still amazed at the pile of stuff that’s sitting in the front room.
I am still trying to figure out how my stuff grew…
I do not feel as though I took that much stuff up to college.
The day was not to exciting.
I showered and got ready and avoided more unpacking.
I took my little red car and put some gas in him and got a much needed haircut.
Then I came home and slept.
And dreamt about windmills.
Odd.
It wasn’t to long before we were finished with dinner and preparing to head out to the Fiesta Days Rodeo in Spanish Fork.
This is our second time at the rodeo and we love it.
Unfortunatly we didn’t make it through more than an hour.
The weather decided to let loose and we were soaking.
Well….
It was fun while it lasted.
Thought.
If you know me well you know that I enjoy 2 things.
Foofy hair and people watching.
No need to fret.
While I was people watching at the rodeo I found the ultimate foof of hair.
This picture does not do this woman’s hair justice.
The best part?
It poured cats and dogs, correct?
Correct.
I saw this human walk by and do not even worry…..
The rain and wind and all that other good stuff had not even phased this work of art.
Ultimate Goal?
When I am old and gray and walking around at rainy rodeos….
I hope my hair stays in place.
But really….
My favorite part of the night?
When I looked down at my phone and I had a text from the boyfriend saying he had a little bit of service and was going to be able to talk for like 10 minutes.
I was soo pleased!
We got to talk for a bit but it proved to be a little difficult because we both kept cutting out.
J
He’s having a blast with the family in Lake Powell and still hasn’t shaved…..
Oh.
But he will.
Do not even fret.
Licorice is my new nick name.
Story time.
Once upon a time we were somewhere and I saw a black dog.
In honor of my cousin, Caijsa, I named him Licorice.
Jacob said that was a stupid name for a dog and it would prefer to be named Duke.
Psh.
Duke?
Licorice is obviously so much better.
He told his family and thanks to his cousin’s spouse, Brady, I have a new name.
…at least it’s better than Duke.
I can’t wait until Friday!

Day 181.

If only I could take a picture that would truly encompass the mess that is currently occurring in the front room of my house.
I’m pretty sure that this picture was taken after a bunch of bins and other such things had been taken down stairs.
Who would’ve thought that I would’ve had so much stuff…
Not me.
It’s going to be a super party to take it back up to college with me in September.
Today I remembered why I love being home so much….
My mom came and woke me up when I slept through my alarms.
There was so much food in the cupboards that I didn’t even know what to eat for breakfast or lunch.
I didn’t have to worry about getting cold water in the shower.
I could walk right across the street to get to church.
I don’t have to decide between top ramen and cereal for dinner.
I was able to visit with Mayghen, Alyssa, Aly, and whitney.
….It’s great to be home.
I have a feeling that the next 7 ½ weeks will be a breeze.

Day 180.

Once upon a time I moved away from Rexie…..
For reals.
I put my things in boxes and bins and pulled my pictures off the wall.
I seem to have this problem with procrastinating packing…
Since me and Emma decided to party a little bit last night, I didn’t get anything done.
It was around 1:15 or so when I actually decided it was time.
I wasn’t too worried about everything else, but I knew my forks, knifes, and plates were ready to be packed up.
Problem?
My dishes were still sitting in the sink.
Dirty.
I loaded up the dishwasher and sat.
And waited.
And waited some more.
At that point I wasn’t too tired and I wasn’t worried about getting to bed since I didn’t have to work until noon.
Facebook was my only option to keep boredom from making me crazy.
I ended up messaging Jace until 4:15…
198 comments on one post.
Isn’t that a record?
If it’s not….
It should be.

I was entertained.
He told me he thought the boyfriend is a really great guy.
I was so pleased.
Do you know what it takes to get a guy to impress the brother?
Well…..
I’m not actually sure.
Around 4:30 I figured the couch was calling me.
Emma was heading to the airport at 6:30 and so I had to get up and send her off.
Bun pat.
I’m gonna miss my Em.
After sleeping for an hour and a half, me and Sarah were able to send her off.
I am really pleased by the fact that its only a 7 ½ week break….
So it’s like a vacation.
Not like I’m counting down the days or anything.
I went back to the couch but it wasn’t too long until boxes were being dropped on the counter and the door was being slammed.
Bad punch.
I got up around 9:30 and frantically began to pack.
I was working at noon and I still had so much to do.
Thank heavens for the parentals.
I headed up the dorms and the fun began.
Check out after check out….
Pandora station after Pandora station….
Mail forwarding address after mail forwarding address….
Chocolate bar after chocolate bar….
Work is always a blast.
After 7 hours me and Shannon were doing final walk throughs in the dorms and she explained her thoughts on clean checks:
“Clean checks are worse than having a baby.”
I was laughing so hard…
I [personally] have never had a child….
And I didn’t think that clean checks were that bad.
I guess having children will be a breeze.
I was so excited with the fact that I found wonderful things in the DI pile.
If you didn’t know I may or may not be addicted to the DI pile at Lamprecht.
Infact.
My outfit today was partially provided by my friends in the dorms.
I also got the Book of Mormon board game.
Winner winner chicken dinner.
Purpose of getting the game?
Obviously to prove the older brother that he is not the master of scripture….
I have a feeling it will be hard to prove.
Lunch was provided by subway.
Yes.
Me and Kali both ate a full foot long.
Yes.
That may or may not have been my 3rd time eating subway this week.
I was so pleased to see Brett and Cymoni when they were sitting the car waiting for me.

I think they were a little hesitant to claim me as their daughter when they saw I was wearing a bright blue sweater thing that I had [obviously] found in the DI pile.
We headed back to MP 314 and retrieved Travis and my wallet.

Me and Sarah threw the rest of the garbage away, said our goodbyes for 7 ½ weeks and headed our ways.
I’m really gonna miss my girls.
Before we left, me and the parents got something to eat.
Guess what it was….
Guess…
Come on…
Yep…
Subway.
I may or may not currently be in love with Subway.
Just be proud that when I had the choice I picked that over McDonalds.
Now as I sit in the back of the van surrounded by all my stuff just off the Thanksgiving Point exit I can’t believe that it’s really over.
It’s almost as if it didn’t happen….
But it did.
Do you know how I know that?

Because I have one of Emma’s shirts sitting in my dirty clothes basket, I’m eating ice, I’m wondering if Michelle has blogged yet, I’m hoping the boyfriend will shave his face while at Lake Powell, I’m trying to decide if Sarah will fall in love with Elvis when she moves to Memphis, and my fingernails are still blue with a red stripe down the middle.
It’s gonna be a blast being back with the family.
It’s been over 2 years since we all lived together for a longish period of time.
All.
Most.
There.
I love the idea of being home.
Let’s hope the adventures can measure up.
…..I hope Travis made the ride okay.
Let’s be completely honest….
I’m a little nervous to check and see.

Day 179.

Last day of finals and such things for this semester.
It really has flown by so fast.
Words cannot even explain it.
I can’t decide if I’m ready to go home or not.
I guess I don’t really have much of a choice seeing the parentals are coming tomorrow to pick me and my stuff up.
The last day has been grand despite failing my TinA&C test.
Oh well.
After the test I went to work to help with check outs, paper work, and other such things.
Me and Kali may or may not have gone on an adventure to the DI pile….
On the way up to the upper lounge we saw something…
It caught our eye.
It was oddly familiar.
It was oddly amazing.
I think I’m going to change my major to art so someone can teach me how to draw.
End of discussion.
I got home from work around 3 and me and Emma realized we had no food.
Fortunately [or unfortunately] Subway is right across the street….
And it was even more fortunate that it’s July….
Italian BMTs are only $5.
That’s love.
We went for a short walk to return a man’s baseball uniform and met this friend.
I’m not sure what his name was…
He didn’t exactly say to much…
But I decided to be his bff and I shared my subway with him.
I still can’t get over how many squirrels there are in Rexie.
It wasn’t too long after that that I headed to work [again].
I really enjoy work.
We always have a blast together.

Tonight I may or may not have gotten made fun of for blogging.
Haha….
We were crossing off girls who had checked out and who didn’t have fees and when Shannon told me to put an ‘X’ next to the girls with no fees….
Well…
I figured that was to easy.
She gave me a challenge.
It obviously was a challenge because I didn’t spell it right.
In the end she won….
We stuck to the ‘X’
I came home, talked to Emma and we headed to twizzleberry.
I ran away from chocolate tonight.
Instead, Kevin was delighted with tropical sorbet and gummy bears.
Delicious.

It’s almost 1.
Any other Friday night we’d all still be out playing or something.
Not tonight.
Sarah is in the shower.
Emma is asleep on the couch.
I’m dreading the rest of the packing that I need to do.
I’m not too excited to say goodbye to Rexie.
I get to see the boyfriend in a week….
I’m super excited.
I’m gonna miss you Rexie.
Tomorrow at 6 pm I no longer reside in this little-ish town.
I can’t walk everywhere now.
I can’t do whatever I want now.
I have to go back to the real world…..
…. The real world is for squares.
See you in 7 ½ weeks.

Thursday, July 21, 2011

Day 178.

Let’s get straight to the point.
I hate goodbyes.
I would rather eat bugs instead of saying goodbye…
Oh wait…
I ate a bug last week.
Dangit.
....But I think you get the point.
This morning was full of Michelley packing up and heading out.
Don’t fret.
We got a picture of the gang before everyone headed out.
Wanna hear a secret?
Sterling is most definitely standing on his tippy toes.
Don’t forget.
It’s a secret.
Today was full of dreading tests and eating an entire special from teriyaki with the help of Jacob and Emma.
I attempted packing but guess what….
I sure didn’t last long.
I hate packing more than anything.
Instead I found myself sitting in one of my bins, talking to my mother, and wondering how the heck I am safely going to get Travis down to Utah.
I hope betta fish travel well.
It wasn’t too long after Michelley left that Tyler left too.
She’s going to turn into a juvenile delinquent after spending all summer with them in the wilderness.
I’m only a tad bit worried about her safety.
Jacob came and got me and we went to dinner at some cottage place.
Sandwiches and frozen yogurt?
I think it was heaven.
After I decided that I wanted doughnuts.
The doughnut shop was closed so we went to Broulims….
There have been very few times that I’ve actually gone and you can buy a single doughnut.
I don’t understand….
But it ended up working out so it’s fine.
You know you have a great boyfriend when he humors you and buys a box of only 12 chocolate doughnuts along with a half gallon of 1% milk to take to the park to enjoy.
We figured that since it was our last night we needed to eat crap….
Kinda like last night.
We talked and ate and it wasn’t to long before we heard sirens.
Someone had been playing with fireworks and had started the field next to North Gate on fire.
Stupid.
We took Colty some doughnuts and headed up that way.
We couldn’t really see anything since police had blocked everything off.
It’s fine.
We decided to go find Jace and Rachel.
They like to play catch in Porter Park.
Don’t fret.
We found them and played with them for a while.
Then Jacob had to leave so I walked him to his apartment.
Dang.
I’m sure gonna miss that human.
A lot.
[Again]
Don’t fret.
I get to see him next weekend on his way home from Lake Powell.
I can’t wait.
Once he left I headed over to the boys to build smores.
Yes.
Build.
Thank heavens for microwaves.
As college students….
We often don’t want to venture outside the vast amount of walls our apartments have.

Oh what a night.
One more final and then I’m officially done with Spring Semester 2011.
Moving home on Saturday.
Odd.

Wednesday, July 20, 2011

Day 177.

Oh you know….
Just another finals week.
I kept forgetting that it was only Wednesday.
I think that means I’m getting a little bit excited to go home.
Problem.
I haven’t yet started packing.
Me and Rebekah finished our tests in Child Development super quick so we people watched.
Oh.
My.
People watching in the Clarke will make anyone’s day better.
There are some strange people in Idaho….
And those strange people do some pretty strange things….
We were entertained for almost an hour.
Today was full of homework and sitting in the testing center.
Woo.
Hoo.
There is no other place I would rather be spending my day than in the testing center.
I don’t know what I got on my test….
I didn’t look at my score.
My teacher said it was just going to be the stuff from the most recent section we’d studied so I only studied what was on the study guide…..
Don’t fret.
I get my test, find a seat, sit down, open the test and guess what….
It’s cumulative.
Can you say fail?
Everything I had ever learned slash not learned was on that test.
Epic.
It was established earlier in the day that twizzleberry was a must so as soon as we could we went.
Me. Boyfriend. Emma. Michelle. Sterling.
Party.
It was even free waffle cone Wednesday.
I got the usual.
Coconut and cookies and crème frozen yogurt covered with chocolate chips, coconut, m&ms, brownie bites, cookie dough bites, hot fudge, chocolate sprinkles, and all that good chocolate stuff.
I am a chocolate girl.
We were there for a while and chatted and all that good stuff.
Emma wouldn’t go ask the lady if she would turn on the dancing game….
But we all know that she was super tempted.
On the way home me and the boyfriend decided to keep walking so we walked and talked.
And walked and talked.
And walked and talked.
We knew we had to get back because Michelle wanted to have a girls night.
We walked up the stairs and saw a boy sitting in the apartment so we figured we needed one last adventure.
We ran super quickly to Abby [Jacob’s car], turned up the music and drove to Mcdonalds.
Favorite thing ever.
Mcdonald’s run at 11 pm to get spicy chicken sandwiches.
I was overjoyed with happiness [so was my stomach].

We headed back to the apartment and were so pleased with ourselves.
We drew with chalk for some time and then it was time for him to go home.
I don’t remember exactly what happened but I ended falling asleep on Emma’s cloud.
Yes.
College.

Day 176.

Melanie,
I am sorry to bother you with this silly matter... But there are some boys
across the alley way that are INCESSANTLY laughing!! And it is not just a
little chuckle, it is a big, bellowing gafaw! I know that our apartment is not
innocent and that we have been disruptive and loud in our own way. Our
apartment is not alone in this.... The whole third floor can hear these boys
laughing day in and day out.... and now with the stress finals it has become
even more annoying!
I COMPLETELY understand if nothing can be done...
Thank you SO much,
Apt. 314 girls
Sometimes in college me and my roomies are able to find the humor in everyday things such as laughing….
And sometimes it DRIVES US CRAAAAAAZY.
Literally.
I don’t think that the laugh this boy [boy…. Not man…] has is humanly possible.
We’re all convinced that it’s a recording of some sort.
Both me and Sarah were amazed when Emma yelled at him from her bedroom window.
She was in the middle of the sentence and all the sudden she leaned to the window and yelled..
“WHAT IS SO FUNNY.”
You had to be there.
I don’t know if it was the fact that Emma actually sent the email or the fact that she actually yelled at
them.
Probably both.
Me and Sarah were crying.
It was fantastic.
Today has been one of the best days ever.
[despite the fact that I woke up 3 hours late and didn’t shower……]
H&PofE was fantastic.
I’m a little bit sad the class is over.
Me and the boyfriend walked to his class and the amount of people he knows never ceases to amaze me.
I headed home but not before a quicky phone call to the BFF and we chatted about matters of life.
Once we got off the phone and I finally looked at the clock and realized that I had not yet done my
artistic expression for my TinA&C class….
I figured I needed to do it since I wasn’t planning on going to class that day.
Don’t fret.
I let the kindergartener come out in me.
I ran to my room…
Grabbed a piece of paper, crayons, and my change jar.
Approximately 2 minutes later and I had my project.
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.

The day continued with washing my hair since I may or may not have been too lazy to shower.
I was attempting to study and all those good things…..
But Tyler’s blue sparkly silly putty was waaay to distracting.
Remember that one time I’m like a kindergartener?
Yep.
True fact.
I was able to study for my child development test and take an hour long nap while the roomies went to Rigby Lake.
The day continued on and I just avoided doing homework slash packing.
Finally the boyfriend texted me and we headed up to Idaho Falls to visit the family.
His mom had made Homemade Café Rioish salad which was so nice….
It was real food….
None of this Top Ramen crap.
We hung out and chatted and rode the 4 wheeler up on the mountain.
It was fantastic.
We headed home because we knew we needed to get to bed on time.
Oh the joys of college and finals week.
But before we left he felt the need to paint my finger nails.
Yep.
I have thee world’s greatest boyfriend.
…..or is he the world’s strangest boyfriend?
;)
As he was walking me back to my apartment we saw Emma coming from his apartment so naturally we both yelled her name….
Right as she was jumping.
Oops.
Bless her little heart….
She landed knees first on the pavement and now has a beautiful collection of scrubs all over her body.
Sorry baby Emma…..
When I say today was thee greatest thing…
It’s not a lie.
I am not longer unemployed.
I’ll be working for the housing office next fall and am soo pleased.
Apartment 304 will be painted and I will no longer feel as though I am living in a jail cell.
I got an A on a test that I was too afraid to look at my score for.
And I played with silly putty all day……
Life is good.

Day 175.

The end of the semester is finally coming to an end…
I’m moving home on Saturday.
Do you know how many days that is?
I’m done with classes as of tomorrow….
I’ll be done with finals on Thursday….
This semester has flown by just like……
No one actually knows.
It’s just flown by fast.
Today was full of classes and turning in my child development final and falling asleep [yet again] in Book of Mormon.
Nap time was calling my name when I got home….
I couldn’t resist.
I slept and talked to Emma for quite some time and then headed to class.
Natural Disasters.
The possibility of me falling asleep in the class is a very high one.
After class I ran into the boyfriend and we sat on the grass and talked for a while.
The sun was shining and it was super awesome.
We discussed the awkwardness of all the passing couples and other such things like how we were going to watch the road to El Dorado that night when we finished homework.
2 and a half hours later we figured that we needed to do some homework.
I was a little bit let down due to the fact that there was no tan line on my feet.
Fail.
When I did end up getting home I didn’t get to much done….
Tyler’s blue sparkly silly putty was a little bit too distracting.
Seeing that we decided not to have HEG we went on a woman date.
Red Robin….
Yummmmmmmm.
We drove up there.
Ate.
Chatted.
Danced.
Ate.
Observed.
Left.
Not gonna lie…
The service was no bueno.
[Another] fail.
The way home was fantastic.
Let me tell you….
Me and Whitney are on a first name basis.
You know, Whitney Houston?
We danced to her and Michael [Jackson] all the way home.
We even had dancing friends on the freeway who drove next to us and danced to our music.
The beauty of Idaho.
It was all fun and games until some Santa-like man gave us a strange look…
Oh well…
The dancing went on.
We got home and homework was calling all of our names.
Blarg.
I ended up going to the boyfriends house and doing homework and then it came time to watch the movie.
Cori and Andrew [his roomie and girlfriend] joined us.
I hate to say it….
But The Prince of Egypt and The Emperor’s New Groove are so much better.
Those ones make me laugh.
It was a good night.
Still can’t believe its ending.
Let’s not forget.
It’s Rachel’s 19th birthday today.
She’s finally getting old with the rest of us.

Once upon a time I met Rachel on facebook.
The roomie list had been sent out for fall and I was scared out of my mind.
No need to fret.
We added each other on facebook and wrote back and forth until the minute she left home.
When I say we wrote back and forth I don’t exactly think you’re grasping the concept.
These were like 5 page letters telling our life stories.
We figured that that since we were living together we might as well just get it all out there.
She wanted to be a princess when she grew up.
She wants to be a mom more than anything.
She just wanted to get married ;)
We had a blast together…
Her throwing bubble gum at me on the first night, our spousewalks every Sunday, her coming to visit me and playing over conference, her avoiding being throw in the water, our long talks about a whole bunch of random stuff while being awake or being asleep, making treats super late at night and the sound of hairspray in the morning, her phone made every morning and the 8 thousand times she would push snooze, the window open every night and would open it if I happened to close it, in and out adventures, watching out for strange men, rape whistles, staying up until 2 talking, diet coke and dr pepper, cold spaghetti, rubber boots, brownie and mountain dew and movie nights, hulu
movies, criminal minds marathons, Disney proposals…….. [insert the rest of the list
here]
My dear Rachel.
Thanks for being the best roomie I could’ve asked for.
I love you!
Happy Birthday!
Can’t wait for fall semester!
