Day 138.

Let the world know.
I am officially the [proud] owner of my own DVD copy of the Prince of Egypt.
I could not be more pleased.
I saw the mailman this morning and I just knew it was coming.
I call it a sixth sense….
You can call it whatever you’d like.
Tomorrow after I get my things done I will have a date with Moses and his people.
I’m super excited.
Yeeees.
So tonight after marriage prep we headed over to summerset to watch some manly shows.
The NBA Finals and some guy drinking cow blood.
Apparently it’s a delicacy.
I hope and pray that I never have to live somewhere where people drink cows blood for enjoyment over diet coke or heaven forbid, water.
Jake decided that it was time to pop my personal bubble while wearing his new long boarding helmet.
Obviously a picture was necessary.
We watched the game..
And did other such things.
Then me and Michelle dropped Colten off and headed to the store.
It was basically desolate since it was approximately 10:00 pm and normal people probably are our partying…
Not sleeping.
College students don’t sleep.
Me and Michelle were having a moment.
Frustration is never good thing to feel when shopping for food.
All I needed was milk and butter.
But I left the store with 2 packages of Cookies ($1.89 each), a can of salt and vinegar Pringles, 2 mini Haagen-Dazs sorbets, and of course….
Milk and butter.
Do you want to know the real difference between me and Michelle?
When we need to splurge on something to make our hearts soft we go in different directions.
I buy packages of fudge filled cookies….
[Freshman 15? What’s that?]
And Michelle buys tater tots.
2 packages for $3
Yep.
The lady at the register probably could tell that we were having one of those nights.
It’s fine though…
Because she was prego.
She probably has those nights all the time.

It all worked out in the end.
Homework was done by [almost] midnight.
Though me and Sarah were talking until a long time.
Oh well.
All 4 of my alarms are turned on and [hopefully] WILL get me up.
iPod alarm? Check.
Radio alarm? Check.
Phone 1 alarm? Check.
Phone 2 alarm? Check.
Sarah’s alarm? Check. Check.
I refuse to miss another child development class.

Day 137.

Happy Memorial Day.
Hopefully your day was just as enjoyable or more enjoyable as mine.
The day started out early as we had no clothes.
Laundry room?
Best friend forever.
After our late night adventures aka a million rounds of apples to apples we decided that we needed to head to Idaho Falls for adventures.
We figured we needed to go to Big Judds…
Except for the fact that since it was closed since it was/is Memorial Day.
Lame.
We decided the next option was 5Guys.
Problem.
Café Rio was right next to it.
I couldn’t resist.
We happily walked over there and ate our hearts out.
Literally.
Have I mentioned that I love love love pork burritos?
Mostly I loved eating there with friends.
After we finished eating we headed to the mall to do some ‘necessary’ shopping.
After which we headed Jakes house to play.
We got out the four wheeler and went for a ride around his land.
Emma was more than happy to drive everyone around.
I couldn’t bring myself to ride with her seeing that I may or may not have this irrational fear of four wheelers for some odd reason.
No one actually knows.
I ended up going with Sterling and bless his heart..
I may or may not held on so tight that he might have bruises.
Pretty sure I dug my head into his shoulder.
…Sorry about that.
No worries.
Jake taught me how to drive it.
I never thought I would say this…
But I am so pleased that I know how to drive stick shift.
It helps when you’re trying to drive a four wheeler.
I only got made fun of all day for going 2 miles an hour.
Don’t judge.
I wasn’t going to kill myself or anyone else my first time driving.
But atleast I can say I did it.
Best part of four wheeling?
Obviously when Sterling gave Jake a ride up the hill so he could long board back down.
Sterling (as you can tell) was not too pleased by the way things looked.
It’s fine because we sure got a laugh out of it.
It started getting cold and everyone had ridden so we headed inside.
Just Dance 2 was waiting for us.
Don’t fret.
I played. I danced. I won.
[Okay…. Only like twice.]
But it was fun.
The videos we have from this part of the adventure are priceless….
If only blogger would let me post them.
Jake’s family got home and joined us in our fun.
We played 5 crowns and I only lost by like a lot.
150?
Uggh.
It was still way fun.
I was impressed by my skills that sometimes showed.
His mom made amazing sloppy joes and scones for dinner.
Yum.
And as we were about to leave we decided that we needed to watch a movie.
7 brides for 7 brothers, anyone?
Classic.
We ended up heading out around 8:30 or so.
Did I mention that I love Idaho?
We got home around laterish and a couple minutes later they were back for Oreo’s and fun.
Colten and Sarah also got home safely tonight.
We missed them dearly.
Sarah wasn’t even here to protect me from the bad guys in Criminal Minds on Friday night.
And my mother is the best out there.
She sent me raspberry jam to replace my broken one.
And a external hard drive.
And my Ihome.
And my photo album.
I love you mom.
I hope your weekend was as great as mine.
We saw rainbows.
Changed in the dark next to cars to avoid nasty changing rooms.
We bought cool things.
We may or may not be diseased from the hot springs.
We danced.
We are college students.

Day 136.

Oh what a couple of days it’s been.
The good thing about having a 3 day weekend is the fact that sleeping is not a stress…
Instead of worrying about having to get up and do homework you can just push it off until Monday.
Or Tuesday morning.
Sister Johnson is once again my best friend for cancelling my first class on Tuesday.
So yesterday morning I slept in until 10:30ish and did no homework.
I got in the shower and watched a movie that made me cry like Niagara falls.
But that’s completely besides the point.
When Emma got home from her daily gym moment she broke the bad news….
The night before when she was trying to get something out of the fridge my jam fell out.
My beloved raspberry jam.
*Splat*
My jam was suddenly lying on the floor.
Oh Emma.
Good punch.
Good thing she took a picture for me.
So last night slash yesterday it was mentioned that we were going to go on a fantastic adventure.
This adventure included swim suits and tin foil dinners.
We were so excited that as soon as we woke up we got into our swim suits.
We also ate queso.
At the same time.
We like dancing around in our bathing wear and eating chips and queso.
Don’t judge.
We are currently having an obsession with chips and queso.
Yep.
Adventure time.
We may or may not be healthy college students.
We met at the boys house to plan our adventure.
We needed a few things for the tin foil dinners so Michelle and Jake headed to the store.
Me and Andrew headed back to MP to cut up the watermelon.
Emma and Sterling headed to Big 5 to purchase a swimming suit.
Our tin foil dinners consisted of hamburgers, potatoes, carrots and onions.
We all piled in the 2 cars and headed out.
GREEN CANYON HOT SPRINGS HERE WE COME!
It was about a 35 minute drive.
I don’t give Idaho enough credit.
It’s beautiful.
Driving up through the hills where the land just goes on forever and ever.
It’s fantastic.
We got there, piled out of the car, the boys started the fire, and we headed to the pool.
We swam in the hot springs until right before it closed.
Our adventures were [mostly] full of being dunked and attempting not to be dunked.
We were there for 4 hours.
That’s a lot of swimming.
Today we woke up.
I didn’t think it was possible.
We were all exhausted.
Church was good.
We came home and made dinner.
Correction.
I made dinner.
Jake fixed it.
Now we’re sitting around our living room eating the 2 batches of homemade Oreo’s which have been made with love.
And cake mix.
And powdered sugar.
And cream cheese.
And eggs.

Day 135.

Yes.
Today was quite exciting,
So exciting that it included visiting the rock museum and the mineral museum with Michelle.
We knew from the moment that we walked in it was magical.
Actually first….
I held a fake dinosaur in a fake egg in the room of real rocks and real fossils.
Funny how that happens, isn’t it?
Awkward picture?
Heck yes.
I can’t really remember why this picture is so special….
But she really liked it.
So it’s here.

Once upon a time while walking through the museum Michelle found something weird….
A orange rock next to all the other orange rocks….
I mean…
Minerals.
But really…
It wasn’t even a rock or a mineral.
So some clever college student decided to put a small orange treat in the glass case.
That human can be my best friend because me and Michelle got a laugh out of it.

Plus there was even a fish tank full of fish…
One of which primarily liked to swim backwards and shoot itself forwards.
It was fantastic.
I may or may not want to go back every day to visit this wonderful fish.
Funny thought…..
Since this fish likes to swim backwards I was going to name him Nemo….
Except I was going to spell it backwards….
Get it?
Since he swims backward then his name should be backwards too….
But I decided that maybe I shouldn’t spell Nemo backwards.
Just for fun.
You know….

Have you ever been in the computer help center?
They moved it.
It’s now on the 3rd floor in the library.
It’s fine that it took me basically forever to find it.
Once I got there I picked a number and took my seat.
Guess who called my number.
Mr. Computer man.
Yes.
I may or may not have had a crush on him since the first week of last semester when he helped me order a keyboard for my laptop.
Today we spent a wonderful hour and a few minutes together.
I think we are in love.
One minute he was asking me to type in my password and then the next he was handing me an engagement ring…
Nevermind,
He really handed me is iPad and let me play Angry Birds.
I beat 4 of the high scores, but couldn’t beat the final one.
Don’t fret.
He ended up beating it as soon as I handed it back.
Next time….
But really.
My computer wasn’t fixed so I’ll be visiting him again next week.
After me and Michelle went babysitting to 2 of the cutest boys in Rexie while they went to the temple and Olive Garden.
Loved it.
They even paid us in doughnuts.
It was fantastic.

The highlight of the night…..
Sterling may or may not have let us help him color slash streak his hair.
My job was to finish talking him into it and prepare him for Emma.

He wasn’t too pleased.
He told me I could only take pictures if they didn’t end up on facebook….
Mix the colors.
Until it looks foamy and then put it on hair.
Let sit for 20-30 minutes.
Wash out.

I turned out good.
Emma.
I am super impressed with your hair dressing skills.

That is the extent of my day.
Chick flick Friday night slash Saturday morning?
I don’t think I’ve heard Emma laugh so hard…..
I love my girls.

Day 134.

So there was this one time…
That I was in college.
Aka now.
And every single night when the clock hits 11:59 I have to decide between 2 things.
Sleep or blogging.
Most nights blogging [obviously] wins…
But the last couple of nights sleeping was victorious.
Yesterday was good.
My brain was basically melting all day long because I was so looking forward to being done with classes for the weekend.
H&PofE was cancelled due to the fact that Sister Johnson was going to be out of town.
TinA&C was great only because MR.TA taught the class and the lesson was entertaining.
We listened to music and had to rate in on a scale of 0-5.
If you give it a 0 then you think it should be thrown into outer darkness and kept there.
If you give it a 5 then you love it. It makes you want to laugh out loud and sing. Forever.
He played one song that was obviously inspired.
Music of the Night from the Phantom of the Opera.
I knew at that moment that we were in love.
I was so pleased.
Except for the fact that when I raised my hand he didn’t even call on me.
I was trying.
Oh well.
The day continued on with seeing off Colten and Sarah as they embarked on their trip to Utah,
Homework,
Glee,
Work,
Mastering the art of spitting out my gum and kicking it [don’t ask],
And hanging out with those who live in Summerset.
Thought.
There are very few movies that I have seen that will make me laugh until the day I die [and possibly even after].
Tonight we watched one of them.

Yes.
I laughed.
It just seems to get to me every time.
I love it.
Who doesn’t love men in green shirts, snotty llamas, nightmare worthy old ladies, men who talk to the angels and devils on their shoulders, and talking squirrels?
After my German moment with Michelle and roomie prayer…
It was finally off to bed.
Obviously those who live behind and to the side of us didn’t get the memo.
I heard car alarms going on and screaming until way too late.
….and then my alarm didn’t go off.
No need to fret.
Rock museum in the Romney in 45 minutes.

Day 133.

[Every other] Wednesday is my favorite day.
Clean checks at MP bring joy into my life.
Not gonna lie…
Our apartment looked N.A.S.T.Y……
And it smelled pretty bad too.
Don’t judge.
Today was good.
Child development was entertaining.
Book of Mormon was good.
Natural Disasters was alright…….
I think I fell asleep, I think.
I’ll have to look back through my notes to see if anything is legible.
After class I cleaned, studied for my test, and painted my nails for Sarah’s mom.
Sarah is Brazilian.
Sarah’s mom is also Brazilian and she likes fingernails painted.
Mine are blue and I hate to admit….
But they’re already chipped.
Lucky for me Emma let me paint one of her nails.

Today consisted of trying to do homework.
And not exactly getting an A+++ on my test.
But now there is room for great improvement.
Me and Emma watched the Bachelorette.
Let me just say that I am not at all even a little bit of a fan of Bentley.
I love West or the dentist man or the funny phone salesman.
I think I may or may not enjoy this season.
Oh.
Lastly…
But not leasty…
We wanted a fire.
But we couldn’t have one.
So we made one.

Day 132.

Sometimes people go through phases.
For example:
1) Rexie loves the rain right now.
It has rained for like 3 straight days.
The Snake River is flooding…..
And my friend, Rebekah, who is from Oregon, used an umbrella.
That’s unheard of.
Apparently.
2) Me and Emma may or may not be in love with The Prince of Egypt.
We happen to love the soundtrack which we were first introduced to during our car adventure down to Utah courtesy of Jace’s CD collection.
So I had to purchase the movie.
$2 of half.com +$2.99 for shipping.
WHA- LA
Be jealous right now.
Hopefully it’ll be here soon.
Name this scene.

Today since it was raining slash every day we haven’t done really anything.
Me and Emma went for a walk.
In the rain.
Plus we even walked past a car with really really really foggy windows.
….awkward.
We also maybe pulled off a secret mission.
Oh.
Thought.
I may or may not have gone $6 over my budget yesterday.
SELF CONTROL QUINCI, SELF CONTROL.
I just couldn’t resist the 47 cent drink from the gas station or my movie.
Life is just too enjoyable.

See the [above] picture?
We’re playing a game called who let my ladybug out of the lovely Pringles can, let him fly around the house, and convincing me that he flew out the window…….
Well you see earlier I may or may not have lost my iPod…
So while on my journey to find it I decided that maybe it was behind the couch.
When I pulled out the couch I found something different…..
My dead ladybug.
I don’t want to talk about it.
All I really have to say to my friends in Summerset….
I know where you live.
I’m going to come and kill your ladybug.
Watch out.

Day 131.

Today has been an adventure day.
It was great.
I got up for my Child Devo class and prepared for the test.
Dang.
I just remembered that I have to take the test.
Tomorrow?
Possibly.
Anyway…
Book of Mormon was really good.
I was so pleased.
Then Natural Disasters wasn’t even that bad.
We learned about volcanoes and the people next to me kept talking to themselves….
Odd.
Confession.
I may or may not talk to myself sometimes.
I walked home in the pouring rain…..
Thanks Idaho.
I came home decided that I needed an afternoon activity.
So I curled Emma’s hair while she was doing her art project….

Since she didn’t go to soccer practice cuz I was curling her hair….
Yes.
Emma Connor is the new Shirley Temple.
We went to freshens to get smoothies and plan secret plans.
“Remember who you are."
That’s all I have to say.
For FHE… sorry…. HEG we played games in the gardens.
Guess who I ran into?
And talked to?
And helped with their HEG game?
Yep.
Mr. TA man.
Yep.
I may or may not have seen him through the tree….
[like so]

And also leapt through a tree for him….
[like so]

It was fantastic.
My Monday night was suddenly made better.
I may or may not be a pathetic girl……
Its fine.
After getting home and running around crazy we all decided that we needed a work out.
Emma and Jake went to Abs that Rock.
Me and Michelle ran to the temple and back.
Sarah worked out in the MP mini gym.
We all feel very healthy now.
Oh.
Did I mention it was pouring?
Me and Michelle were soaked.
The front of my pants [as you can see] were soaked….
The back was completely dry.
See……
I’m attractive after I run.
Unfortunately Michelle kept running so she wasn’t able to take the picture with me.
B.U.M.M.E.R.

After we came back and I went on an adventure to the mailbox.
To my love there was a letter for me.
From Jamison.
YES.
I have been waiting since graduation for this.
I guess it was a good 1 year reminder of graduating.

Then we had a dance party.
Yes.
I may or may not have danced.
That’s all you need to know.
Ha.

Sunday, May 22, 2011

Day 130.

We’re home.
Back in Rexie.
After a 4 hour drive we’re back.
I even drove on the freeway for the second time….
Ever.
Yes.
In Quinci fashion….
A picture had to be taken.
I’m driving.
With Jace’s shades.
Can you see the constellations on my neck out of moles slash freckles?
I just noticed it…
Odd.

Though the best part was getting home so that me and Emma could use our matching lap desks…
Hahaha.
Really though.
It’s nice to be back.

I wish I had something super exciting to write about…
But I just drove all day.
And listened to the Prince of Egypt CD again.

Saturday, May 21, 2011

Day 129.

We’re finally back in Utah.
It seems like I’m back every weekend.
This time the drive was better.
I was in the car with 3 sweaty, smelly, athletes.
Emma. Sarah. Colten.
We jammed out to Shakira and the Prince of Egypt soundtrack…..
And Emma’s snoring.
It was a good drive.
Oddly enough…
Idaho looks different every time I drive through it.
Anyway….

Dear world.
Guess what.
Just in case you didn’t already know….
The end of the world [obviously] wasn’t today.
But…..
There was a zombie apocalypse this morning.
Me and Emma were watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition when my dad came through the door telling us to “Hurry!” and that we were going to miss it….
We look out the window and look what we see….
A zombie, of course.

Emma wanted a picture.
I told Mason that if he got a good picture I’d give him a dollar.
He succeeded.
See our zombie?
It just so happens that the little Jensen boy decided to walk around the neighborhood looking like this today…
Of all the days.
We sure got a laugh out of it.

Me and Emma’s one task for the day:
Make Sterling Buckeyes (aka Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls)
But we had other things to accomplish today.
We went to the mall slash shopping.
It was an optimum day.
XXI, Pretzel time, the bubble gum stand, the Indian store, Payless, Downeast, Claires, DI, Target, Old Navy and I’m sure there was somewhere else….
I purchased shoes, 2 shirts, 2 sweaters, new earrings, and Haagen-Dazs yummy-ness.
Emma bought a lap desk….
[hahaha….]
After we decided that we were all shopped out we stopped for a moment at the AF vs. West baseball game.
She was fully introduced to American Fork there.
Everyone was concentrated on the game….
Someone may or may not have been having a stroke….
But they just kept watching the game.
After the game we drove to the pond.
I love the pond.
We put our feet in the freezing water and Emma couldn’t find a rock to skip, but instead she found a dead fish and a squished [on the sidewalk] fish.
Yum?Oh.
We also felt the need to prepare for the zombie apocalypse.
We got our guns and light sabers ready.
Were you prepared?
Unfortunately we didn’t have tang [like the drink] since we found an article saying that was a necessity to zombie survival.

Just in case you’re still hiding under a rock….
The world didn’t end.
It was 7:01 pm and I was still alive and well.
Great news.
Colten got his mission call tonight.
But while we were waiting for Jace to get home so he could open it, we took advantage of free time.
You see….
Colten’s girlfriend has thee coolest car.
2011 black and yellow Camaro.
And I was matching it…
This doesn’t happen very often

Obviously Emma wanted a picture too….
Who doesn’t?

To the important part of the day.
And the reason we came home this weekend….
Colten has been called to serve as a missionary in the Mississippi Jackson Mission.
We are soo excited for him!
He will be a fantastic missionary!
He heads to the MTC September 28.

Also.
It was decided that me and Emma wanted to go to Zupas for dinner.
We drove down their speedy quick since they close at 10 on Saturdays and Colten didn’t open his call until like 9:10.
Don’t fret.
We made it.
We even saw the lovely Mallory Ash.
I was telling Emma how amazing her voice was and we wanted to be uplifted by her talent.
We asked her to sing.
We did.
Yes , world.
Mallory Ash sang to us in the Zupas line.
I couldn’t have had a better experience there.
The manager slash person in the maroon shirt told me that we [me and Emma] were considered regulars now since we got her to sing.
I was so pleased.
Happy day.
Next time you’re there…..
Ask her to sing a note for you.
Seeing that me and Emma still had many things to do we took it to go.
We wanted to watch a movie and enjoy our food.

The movie was good.
We finished at 11:30 and then speedy quick began to make the buckeyes [aka chocolate peanut butter balls]….
Friend.
You better enjoy them.
Oh.
Last thought.
This morning Emma told me she was a vampire and you can’t see her in the mirror.
Odd.

They better turn out good.
See you tomorrow Idaho.
